Welcome to Hornsea Village, a shopping and leisure destination on the East Coast of England.
Located near Hornsea Beach, Hornsea Mere, and beautiful countryside, we offer a great day out for locals and visitors alike. Formerly Hornsea Freeport, the UK’s first factory outlet shopping village, we’ve evolved into a inviting retail and leisure hub. The new name, Hornsea Village, reflects our connection to the town’s heritage and welcoming community.
Hornsea has a rich history in pottery, with the renowned Hornsea Pottery once being a key part of the town’s identity. Established in 1949, Hornsea Pottery became famous for its distinctive ceramics, which were exported worldwide. After the pottery business closed, the site was transformed into Hornsea Freeport, bringing a new retail and leisure experience to the area. Today, Hornsea Village continues to honour this legacy while offering a modern shopping and leisure destination.
The site is now home to The Potteries, which opened in October 2023 as a dedicated space celebrating Hornsea’s ceramic heritage. Visitors can explore a collection of Hornsea Pottery pieces, learn about the brand’s history, and discover unique, locally inspired gifts, linking the past with the present in a meaningful way.
With over 14 outlet stores offering up to 50% off high-street prices, including brands like Roman, Klass, Regatta, and Tog 24, we’re a go-to spot for bargain hunters.
Beyond shopping, Hornsea Village offers a café, family-friendly activities like Bugtopia Hornsea Zoo, and seasonal events. With landscaped spaces to unwind, free parking, and easy access to local attractions, it’s a stress-free place to visit.
Come and experience Hornsea Village for yourself, it’s a great spot to shop, grab a coffee, and take in the local charm.
